Affected version
0.23.3
Steps to reproduce the bug
1 Go to video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW3tKO7b8OI 2 Go to the information tab. 3 Click the little square icon to make text selectable 4 Try to select, copy and paste the URLs to a notepad or to a browser address bar
Expected behavior
I would expect the URLs to be complete.
Actual behavior
What actually happens is, all the regular text is complete but all the URLs are truncated.
The following is the result of selecting, and copy pasting that info. You will notice all the regular text is complete but all the URLs have been truncated to make them useless.
MASCAL (codename for Mass Casualty) was a contingency drill that depicted the Pentagon Strike that was to occur almost a year later (on 9/11). MASCAL took place on Oct. 24 to 26, 2000.
Military / Government sites eventually removed the pages containing information about MASCAL. Below were the official sources:
http://www.mdw.army.mil/news/news_pho...
http://www.dcmilitary.com/army/pentag...
The restored MASCAL information can be found in the following research links:

Confirmed. Piped shows these URLs without truncation.
Here is another video displaying the same issue, but with the useful quality of not having been uploaded by a 9/11 truther lunatic. May make confirming / troubleshooting the video a less unsettling experience. The first two links at the top of the description, and the second-to last one, are all truncated. There appears to be no way for the user to get the un-truncated URL of any of the links without actually opening them. I noticed that the URLs are also truncated when viewing affected descriptions in a browser, so the issue isn't caused by NewPipe truncating the URLs. It would appear Youtube instead sends them in truncated form as part of the description, and so NewPipe displays them as such. It would be beneficial to have NewPipe un-truncate links so that the destination may be viewed without opening it. Perhaps to prevent very long links from clogging up descriptions in a way they otherwise wouldn't, links could only be shown un-truncated when the description is in text-selection mode?
@FireMasterK How is Piped showing these links as non-truncated?
@FireMasterK How is Piped showing these links as non-truncated?
Piped follows the href
attribute and displays it as the text instead. This was intentionally done as a solution for the same issue. A side-effect of this are timestamp links being converted too, I need to exclude them from this in Piped too.
@ floral-qua-floral Bootlickers grovel on their belly like worms to the lies of corrupt slimebag politicians and insult those who stand up and demand answers.
