Feature description
I would like to see already in the subscription list if a channel released a "members-only" video which is visible first for paying channel members but later for the rest of the world. If not easily possible with a countdown, then at least with an icon or colored frame, that I can be aware of this video possibly becoming accessible later for non-members.
Why do you want this feature?
Often I spot an interesting video in my subscription list which I want to share immediately with friends, so I copy its link out of the subscription list entry even before I try to watch it. Unfortunately, NewPipe reports "premium" videos as soon as they are available for paying members of a channel, but before they are available for the rest of the world, without any visual hint. Therefore it sometimes happens that I accidentally share links to "premium" videos among people who are not member of that channel, neither am I myself, so we are disappointed to see an error message instead when we eventually try to watch it.
Additional information
For the time being, I need to get used to trying to open every video I would like to share to check if it is actually available yet.
Adding a filter to remove members-only videos from the feed entirely would also be really appreciated!
It could be another option in this popup:
There is a visual hint, albeit probably not intended, but it's a difference none the less. A Premium/Members only video won't show the view count under and or next to the thumbnail. Hope this helps, until a less miniscule indicator is added.
So far, I've come across 2 types of exclusive content: only for supporters and temporary exclusive for supporters (later available to everyone).
I propose that content exclusive to supporters should never appear in the "what's new" list, and temporary exclusive content only when it becomes available to everyone. I think that informing people about them beforehand with a countdown timer is pointless and may unnecessarily fuel FOMO for some people.
In my opinion, this should be the default behavior, which can possibly be changed in some options if it is deemed that informing about this type of content may be desired by a certain group of users.
Just chiming in as a regular user, I also run into this issue all the time. Members-only videos look just like regular ones in the subscription list, and it gets frustrating when you click only to hit a dead end.
Even a small icon or visual tag would make a big difference. Thanks for considering it!
Hi guys, somehow on my phone these videos are filtered but I don't know why. I thought it was an option in settings but I never succeeded in adding it to my tablet. The weirdest thing is that if I import my phone settings on the tablet it also removes the member only videos. But I really don't remember how I was able to do it in the first place.
Look EC member video is filtered
