Issue with Dropdown + Large data + Internet explorer

We are facing strange issue with Drop-down having large content in it (say 5000 records) and on Internet explorer.

When we created standalone with all same things then IE gets crazy. Gets crashed or no response mode sometimes.

But, when the same things we do it on chrome, everything just works fine.

Any input on this?
