spell check cannot deal with \"a umlaut notation
Bug description:
When I enter a German text containing umlauts, I sometimes need to use \"a or \"{a} notation (instead of just typing them directly, I know about utf8). Mainly for compatibility with other editors. In these circumstances, the two parts of the word to the left and right of this umlaut are treated as different (and obviously misspelled) words by the spell checker.
This would be expected behavior in an arbitrary text editor, from a latex editor however I expect to recognize this latex specific way of entering things.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Enter a German word with an umlaut, e.g. Fr\"uhst\"uck.
- Enable German spell checker.
- Observe detected misspellings.
Expected behavior:
Internally convert these commands to their umlauts before comparing with the dictionary.
