cannot use shortcut for comment/uncomment in Linux
In the Spanish keyboard layout in Linux, one has to press AltGr plus the key right to p to get the opening bracket ([).
But if I also press Shift, I get the diacritical mark ° (which might be combined with the next keystroke, such as a, u or y to give å, ů or ẙ).
Something similar happens to get the closing bracket.
Using the German keyboard layout (in Linux too), I have to press AltGr+8 or AltGr+9 to get brackets.
Adding Shift to the combination gets ™ or ±.
Besides the tricky shortcut, which I don’t know how to make it work with Spanish and German keyboard layouts in Linux, would it be possible to use an easier combination such as Ctrl+E to comment and uncomment (when pressed twice)?
I don't know in linux, but in windows, there's file shorcuts.ini (in C:\users\myuser\texworks\configuration) where you can change or define shortcuts. As an example, I use ctrl+alt+right and ctrl+alt+left for comment and un comment.
@nignasi, many thanks for your reply.
I only use TeXworks to explain it to new ConTeXt users.
Having to edit a pure text file to get a different shortcuts is simply too much for a newcomer.
In my opinion, I’m afraid that the default shortcuts are too complex for a such a basic operation.
