Keeping things copyrighted

• [ ] add a copyright notice to all source files
• [ ] add other authors who have contributed significantly?

IMHO, the fact that the user removed LICENSE.md is enough, but it's kinda slimy that they changed the author to themselves.

One of you should consider submitting this to have the repo removed:

I just stumbled across this. Apologies for any offence caused by the fork. I have not received any communication about it, but if it's an issue I am happy to make adjustments or simply take it down. When I created it this project seemed dead, so I added myself to the copyright alongside yourselves aiming to continue the work.. Turns out you were all busily working away on a different branch. Entirely my fault.

it is a copyright violation to alter any copyright notices!

Here's a highlight from the license itself:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.

stupid or not, mistake or not, old or not, you must restore the license or delete the whole repository. please show proof of fixed license. I don't see any license file at all...

should add copyright headers to all files. and automate it

some simple version that points to the repo, not direct authors in them

i.e the both topics in issue body are not implemented still so far:
