Color Public Subreddits as Red Instead of White for Ease of Reading.

Making public subreddits red instead of white would make the lists easier to read among the sea of text and subreddit names.

people with protanopia and deuteranopia can't tell the difference between red and green, so using red would be risky.

That’s a fair point. In that same vein, according to the same source, people with Tritanopia can’t tell the difference between blue and green, so the current green/blue Private/restricted color scheme also has accessibility issues.

That's a fair point. There's some literature on colour-blindness-friendly palettes, such as this link: https://davidmathlogic.com/colorblind/ that could be of interest.
