Javascript sometimes fails to run even though it's allowed

Many Google pages depend on other domains too, like gstatic.com googleusercontent.com and ggpht.com.

To large for small screens

This is an issue for me too. My large screen is only 720p, and it doesn't let you shrink the window to fit.
