Background animation degrading performance
The background animation present on all TanStack doc pages causes high GPU and CPU load. While I don't disagree they look nice and make the page look unique, the tradeoff between performance impact and added benefit is abysmal. There should at least be an option to disable it.
Laptop specs: Intel Core i5-1145G7 @ 2.60GHz 16GB of RAM Intel Iris Xe Graphics NVMe SSD
By all means it's a fairly decent office laptop, and can handle everyday tasks easily. Furthermore, this causes the PC to slow down, and heat up which causes fans to blow on full.
It's fairly simple to confirm this:
- Open up Task Manager (if using Windows, or any alternative in other OS).
- Open up TanStack page (e.g., https://tanstack.com/query/latest)
- See the CPU and GPU usage raise up.
- Switch to a different tab.
- See the CPU and GPU usage drop down.
I tried Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox with similar effects.
I’ll get this fixed. Thanks!
