Add access to Qobuz
Hi, Thank you for this beautiful and functional music player! Is there an access to the Hi-Res Qobuz streaming platform which is excellent? Thank you in advance.
There Isn't.
Qobuz "isn't available in my country" so I doubt there will be support in Tauon any time soon.
Okay, that's a good reason. Thanks for looking.
Qobuz has been available in New Zealand since 2021, will this implementation be reconsidered?
I came here to request this one also! With this issue previously having been closed, is it best to subscribe to this one to keep an eye out for progress, or open a new feature request? (if indeed it's now open for consideration with the region availability blocker removed?)
It’s just not a feature I’m interested in working on. I already feel I don’t have enough time to maintain the existing Spotify/Tidal support to an acceptable level so I don’t want to add another one.
I wouldn’t necessarily reject a PR though if someone wanted to work on it however so ill reopen this issue.
Following the recent publication of Ethical Consumer's guide for music streaming, i've become interested in trying out Qobuz in earnest, as they come out as one of the few decent options (for anyone interested, although i imagine you would already know this, Spotify gets a very bad rating. Deezer and Tidal do better, but not well either… Anyway).
What would be the best way to get this working in TMB @Taiko2k? It's entirely fair for you not to take on that extra burden of creating the feature (although you are already essentially agreeing to the burden of maintenance, should the feature be built, so thank you for that), but pointers on how to do this properly to make it manageable would be helpful, I think.
A quick search led me to these projects that may help kickstart the effort, on the more Qobuz API side:
