TagStudio Version

Alpha 9.3.2

Operating System & Version

Windows 10

Description

TagStudio generally takes ~300mb of RAM to load a full tab of images, but for some reason, when i switch to the second tab, TagStudio slowly loads around 15 images, then it starts consuming up to 1.6 gb of RAM to load them, after around 5 minutes, and some screen freezes, when it seems to "finish", i have high disk usage, and then it idles at 300mb of RAM, if i change to tab 1 or tab 3 they're loaded normally, but if i go back to tab 2, this process happens again.

(Edit: i AM able to use the second tab normally after all the memory is unloaded, but it does happen again if i go to any other tab then go back to the second)

This was happening since i started using TagStudio for the first time.

Here's some info about the files included in the folder i am loading:

500 files each tab, Extensions: pdn, jpg, jpeg, png, gif, webm, mp4, webp, txt, rar, file sizes range: from 10kb to 400kb, 2 of them being 10mb

TagStudio version: Alpha 9.3.2, x86-64 portable, from github. i re-downloaded it at the moment of this post.

here's some info about my computer: image

Expected Behavior

TagStudio should be able to switch tabs rapidly with no such RAM usage.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open tagstudio_windows_x86_64_portable
  2. Load library from recent libraries tab
  3. Switch to second tab (Waiting for the first one to load or not results in the same problem)
