In general, to add support for Calibre application in the form of add-on or embedded function.

What kind of support from this application would you be referring to?

As basic feature, just a sync function.

As for anything further, I guess, go wild? Calibre is pretty limited in what kind of data it can store, but also goes pretty deep as per the ISBN, LOC numbers, and so on, could provide. Not quite an advanced user, just someone using it to store ebook (ePub) as "database".
