[Request] Use System Preferences (KDE/GTK+) for Hotkeys

Open hparadiz opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hi! I'm loving build 69. It's very easy to use and in my opinion the best user experience on Linux when it comes to a SQL client.

One thing I noticed was that hotkeys aren't being pulled from KDE's System Preferences or GTK+ user settings.

I use Win+C, Win+V, Win+X for my hotkeys to cut, copy, and paste. Most KDE programs respect these settings and many others respect it with GTK+. I wrote a detailed blog post on the topic here: https://technex.us/2020/09/getting-macos-style-hotkeys-working-in-gnu-linux/

My user experience would be a lot better if if these global settings were used since I would not need to remember to switch hot keys when I switch programs.

Hi @hparadiz your build is a bit out date. If you have a chance please update to our build 74

Apologies. I meant to say 74. I had just updated it from 69 when I was writing this post.

The feature request still applies though.
