Debian 13 KDE - Not running
Hello guys,
on Debian 13 (stable) is TablePlus not running after this packages are installed.
sudo apt install git build-essential cmake extra-cmake-modules libkirigami-dev libkf5style-dev libkf6kcmutils-dev libkf6colorscheme-dev libkf5config-dev libkf5configwidgets-dev libkf5coreaddons-dev libkf5guiaddons-dev libkf6i18n-dev libkf6iconthemes-dev kirigami2-dev libkf6package-dev libkf6service-dev libkf6windowsystem-dev kwayland-dev libx11-dev libkdecorations3-dev libkf5configwidgets-dev libkf5i18n-dev libkf5iconthemes-dev libkf5kcmutils-dev libkf5package-dev libkf5service-dev libkf5wayland-dev libkf5windowsystem-dev libplasma-dev libqt5x11extras5-dev qt6-base-dev qt6-declarative-dev qtbase5-dev qtdeclarative5-dev gettext qt6-svg-dev
This are packages, which we need for compiling klassy window decorations.
Before installation of this packages, TablePlus do start. After the installation is it not starting at all. Also a full reinstallation do not solve the issue. We tried to start TablePlus from the command line, but it just do nothing. Normally, it's possible to start it from the command line too.
Since the source is closed, we can't analyse, what the problem is. Maybe you have an idea.
Side question: Is it in near future possible to let TablePlus use the native window decoration on KDE? It looks really ugly for a commercial software on KDE.
Hi @mibeon does the App Image version work?
@huyphams Will try it today evening (or tomorrow). Have big loads at daily tasks currently. Thanks!
@mibeon Any different results, after having tried the AppImage version?
I think TablePlus has also seen several updates since you opened this issue, might want to try to apt update and get the latest one, just for good measure.
Are you able to reproduce this with a fresh (throwaway) user account on the same system? How about with a fresh install on a VM, or another box that you have running Debian, if that's possible for you?
Without these data points, it's anyone's guess whether the issue is really a problem with the software it self, or some unique set of circumstances on your end.
