Request: linux support for nixos

Please answer the questions below, it helps us to track the issue.

It would be great to either have the binaries available for non deb/dpkg based distributions as tarballs or add nixos support.

1. Database version (Ex: PostgreSQL 10.0): pg 14, cockroach

2. Linux distro (Ex: Ubuntu 18.04): nixos unstable
