Authinfo is the standard for everything else in emacs, why not support that? Authinfo also allows using different backends, making it a lot more convenient for users than encrypting .el...

The docs are actually wrong, `elm2nix snapshot` currently doesn't output anything to stdout, but simply creates a file named `registry.dat`. The redirected output just ends up creating an empty file....

Seeing this too, I *think* the issue is new since upgrading to nextcloud 24, but I also switched from the docker container to my distro's package, so I can't say...
