UX: Room types and room settings
Note: This is a general feedback on how room types and room settings are perceived by people not familiar with PILOS beforehand. This issue is intended as a starting point for a discussion.
While in user tests the room types are generally appreciated, because they appear to offer optimized settings, these presets as well as the individual room settings cause at the same time some level of confusion across the board:
- It seems important to provide concise descriptions that appear when the room is created. Currently this has to be done by the sys-Admin for each instance (?). It might be helpful to provide them for the pre-defined types by default and also offer the posibility to set these descriptions in the config file.
- Users do not find the
expert modesettings. Maybe the activation button could be placed more prominently? - Also users still would like to change these settings during the process of creating the room (maybe hint them to the right direction here?).
These are condensed experiences that appear in a similar form or wording during almost all test reports. So there seems to be an issue here.

How about adding a note like this?
or a little more subtle
| Current | Design A | Design B |

| Show Button at the end of the page | Show a note how to active "experte mode" | Place button top-right, change button label |
