Feature Request: Combine Widget and Search desktop

Description As a new user to TinyBit (Microsoft Launcher) who has some passing familiarity with things like KISS/Lunar/Niagara/etc, I am finding that I wish I could have the Search Bar be "sticky" as a configuration option, much like the Dock.

Solution A user-settable toggle to have the Search Bar be sticky like the Dock would be a great way to have this familiar feature, especially since we can already adjust their layout/order.

Alternative solutions A possible alternative would be to have the Search Bar added onto the Dock in such a mode.

Additional context It would look, I imagine, much like KISS in this respect.

I don't understand what you want to accomplish. Where do you want to stick the search bar to?

This launcher has 3 desktops

1. Empty desktop to display the wallpaper
2. Search desktop with search bar and result list
3. Widget desktop to display widgets

You can set gestures to quickly get to the search desktop and open the keyboard.

I guess I want to combine Widget and Search, as I have search set to be collapsed by default, and above the Dock.

I find this gives me a comfortable middle ground of coming from a traditional Launcher desktop paradigm, like Microsoft Launcher, and a more streamlined Launcher paradigm like TinyBit.

This, but with Widgets on the home screen:

1. What should happen to the widgets when the keyboard opens?
2. Will the result list draw over the widgets?

BTW you can change the "9 square" icon. I'm thinking I should also make the "3 dot" icon customizable.

1. I would expect them to stay in place and have the keyboard draw over it.

2. Yes, Results and other TinyBit objects like Tags list or other pop-ups would draw over it.

🤓 Sweet! I'll test out changing the Launcher Button icon though I like what you have chosen for that and the More Menu. They were very intuitive when I first used TinyBit.
