In 2.6.5, whether you set or not ROM filepath, it always visit last path you've visited.

Can you explain this in a bit more detail please?

On my side, I set both ROM path and AVI path. Each time after I recorded AVI, then I wanna change game via file menu. But open ROM won't redirect to former path, instead it keeps on latter path where I recorded AVI. Of cource, if I do other thing such as change palette, open ROM will keep on palette path I've visited. Seems ROM path config is be ignored completely

I tested this on ubuntu linux with the GUI option "Use Native OS File Dialog" both on and off and it behaved as you expect it to. What operating system are you on and what option do you have selected for using native OS file dialog? Please try it both ways, I have noticed that the behavior when using the OS file dialog is not always consistent.

Can you describe the repro steps in more detail? How are you setting both the ROM and AVI paths?
