Freezing During Sonic Dark Brotherhood

So basically.

I was trying out the emulator on a Steamdeck, everything worked perfectly fine up until I tried Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. In which everything was also working quite fine up until during the first tutorial teaching me how to use the stylus, the game crashed after the animation of the stylus touching the interact button. (I didn't get an error message by the way. The game just entirely froze but the emulator still ran.)

Does anyone know how to fix this? I was running the latest version of Bizhawk with the default NDS settings.
