AddictionRisk-Predict: Predictive Model for Identifying Harmful Addiction Patterns

Open Invincible1602 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Hey, @TAHIR0110

Develop a predictive model capable of assessing an individual's likelihood of being addicted to harmful items or behaviors and at risk of suicide, considering their medical condition. This model would analyze various factors such as behavior patterns, environmental influences, mental health history, underlying medical conditions, and personal characteristics to generate a comprehensive risk assessment, including the likelihood of addiction and suicide risk.

Alternatives: Manual assessment by healthcare professionals, which can be time-consuming and subjective, and may not adequately consider the individual's medical condition. Using existing screening tools for addiction and suicide risk separately, although they may not be tailored to individual needs or provide real-time feedback on the combined risk, especially considering medical factors.

Additional Context: Creating such a predictive model could significantly improve early intervention efforts for both addiction and suicide prevention, taking into account the individual's medical condition. It could be implemented in various healthcare settings, addiction support programs, or mental health crisis hotlines to provide targeted support and intervention to those most in need, while considering their specific medical needs and vulnerabilities.

Hey @TAHIR0110, I hope you're doing well! I'm reaching out to ask if I could work on an assignment focused on creating a predictive model for identifying harmful addiction patterns. I think this is a really important area that could make a big difference in how we understand and tackle addiction. Here's what I'd like to cover in the assignment: Research: Looking into existing models and key factors in addiction. Data Collection: Finding and gathering relevant data. Model Creation: Using machine learning to develop and test a predictive model. Analysis: Evaluating how well the model works and what it reveals about addiction. Ethics: Considering privacy and ethical issues related to the data. I believe this project would not only help me learn more about predictive analytics but also contribute to important work in addiction prevention and support. Thanks for considering my request!

Looking forward to your reply.
