The new synology NAS series (DVA) integrate an Nvidia graphics card (DVA3221 - gtx1650), and is runing on DSM, It would be nice to have Nvidia GPU support on FFMPEG (NVENC).

DVA: https://www.synology.com/en-me/products/DVA

Cuda and nvidia folders are located in : /volume1/@appstore/NVIDIARuntimeLibrary/

If you need more info let me know

I think gpu driver needs to updated for that, currently last update was in 2020 Nvidia Runtime Library.spk and driver version is 440.44 which way old for many features

several people had worked on the project on a forum, but all the links are dead :/ they had working custom ffmpeg and nvidia-docker.

I guess they just gave up since not everyone needs it, or found different solution or just waiting for official synology update. The main problem that synology encrypts their .spk files now and its not possible to open them to modify, the only way left its manually through ssh/root add or replace needed files but it requires a lot of testing and time

It’s 2023... The nvidia driver is still in a very old version, and packages such as jellyfin and emby cannot use such old drivers to complete hardware decoding.
