Request for LG Air Condition (hass-smartthinq) integration for Home Assistant Core

Open Szeryff opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

SmartThinq: https://github.com/sampsyo/hass-smartthinq Is there a way to include this package as custom integration or way to add it manualy? I've check integrations in Home Assistant Core bu this one is not there.

If you can tell us, what python wheels are required by smartthinq we could try to include/install those.

As far as I can see only wideq has to be added to the requirents

wideq==1.5.0

I did some testing and it seems that there is a better working integration also based on wideq. Can you please add following integration instead: https://github.com/ollo69/ha-smartthinq-sensors it seems as @BenjV mentioned it requires only wideq fork available here: https://github.com/gladhorn/wideq

wideq is available on pypi so it can easily be included.

I was able to succesfull configure ha-smartthinq-sensors under custom_components and tested with two LG Air Conditioner units. Everything is working well. Adding ha-smartthinq-sensors will be deeply appreciated.

@Szeryff you can now add the "SmartThinQ LGE Sensors" by HACS (included in the HA package since v2022.10.5-19)
