How to join such a "project"? I am interested in getting a syno-package of nextcloud, as owncloud is not really supported as it looks like.

@falcotec seems to be a php app... so you might want to check how other PHP Based SPK's work. ex: https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/tree/master/spk/bicbucstriim and https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/tree/master/cross/bicbucstriim
I am no longer interested in adding Nextcloud... I prefer to keep maintain ownCloud.
@ymartin59 could you elaborate what's the advantage of owncloud over NextCloud. I read somewhere on the web that NC has more features and is more security oriented than OC ...

I'd prefer Nextcloud over ownCloud.
Basically the do more or less the same... i can understand that @ymartin59 doesn't see any advantage in maintaining two nearly same Packages, wenn we have a whole lot of others to maintain already... however since this is an OpenSource Project everyone is allowed to contribute:
just create the Package yourself, add yourself in as maintainer and open up a PR. IMHO that's the easiest or "most likely to happen" solution if you'd want NextCloud to be added...
Got a beta package working on braswell arch. See #3853 One good thing : the existing embedded Postgresql 9.3 from Synology can be used instead of MariaDB. Other versions of PostgreSQL should be fine as well like 11.6
@AurelienKun: We've already implemented updates to ownCloud. Is this request still necessary?
