Basemap labels language

Is there a way to change the basemap language so that the labels from Mapbox appear in another language?

you mean it might be possible with some changes in the package or that it might be possible with the current version of mapdeck?

I mean it would need a change to the package. I don't think I'll have time to look into this in the coming days though.
