Plugin refusing to place images stored in a nested directory inside of the images folder.

I want to make an animation with the ImageMaps plugin, and I don't want to cause clutter in my images folder. So I placed my images in images/anim and the plugin is now refusing to place my images. It says Illegal character in filename 🤓.
