Profiles not saved
I've tried exporting profiles on Mac OS and use them on Ubuntu 15.04 and vice versa.
I select a profile, make my changes and then create a new profile and export it. This, I would expect, saves the changes as a new profile and stores the data to the exported .json file.
Whenever I do this though the json file simply contains the default information for the "default" profile I started out with. E.g. when I start with the Apple ][ profile the json contains exactly those values except for the new "custom name" that I've entered.
Am I doing this wrong? How can I store my selection into a new Profile?

This might be the same issue i was about to report: profiles aren't saved until the console is closed. i created a modified profile, gave it a name, and later the console crashed. Upon restarting it, my custom profile was gone. So i recreated it, closed the console, re-opened it, and my custom profile is there.
I have the same issue - changed colours and effects in my custom profile, switch back to Default then switch to mine and all my changes are gone apart from font size and colour.
Same. And I expected that exporting a profile and using cool-retro-term --profile exported-profile.json
to work, but it doesn't :/ (at least not with the ppa for ubuntu 17.10)
Hmm, nevermind, once I closed the terminal that had the changes, subsequent terminals used the config. Nice!
Any resolution?
Where are the profile actually saved? I haven't used crt in a while and now I realised that all my custom profiles are gone, probably some update ruined everything :(
