Save syncing using different services such as nextcloud
Disclamer In order to keep this bug tracker manageable, you need to keep a few things in mind: *Any feature request not following this template will be closed as invalid *Is the issue already opened? Try out a search before filing one.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Right now the fdroid version of lemuroid cannot do any cloud saving due to the cloud saving feature relying on Google's proprietary platform. It makes it very hard for someone to move from a Google ecosystem to a more open one(especially since we can't export saves as of yet)
Describe the solution you'd like I think supporting self hosted open-source cloud services such as nextcloud is a great way to alleviate this issue.
Describe alternatives you've considered Nextcloud is one of the most popular solutions for self hosting.
Additional context
Another option would be to allow the users to select the folder in which saves are stored. This way the nextcloud client can sync the folder with other devices.
@Saroufim I don't think Nextcloud works with folders on android but sure.
This is what I'm doing with RetroArch. It's not perfect and sometimes Nextcloud doesnt sync the files but it works most of the time.
You can also sync with syncthing. It's what i do for synchronizing my games. I was expecting lemuroid to keep the saves among the folder it picked the games from.
