Enable alternative savefolders, to enable save sync with Syncthing on Android 11
Hello, I have another machine with RetroArch and I want to sync my game saves/states across Android and that machine.
In your FAQ you described that you use Syncthing for that. Unfortunately has Google limited the app access for the files in android/data on Android 11, so this is not possible anymore.
Would it be possible to implement a configuration option to change the folders for the saves and states?
I second this, please let people set their own save folder directory. I can bring my saves from my old phone to my new one because of android 11.
@Swordfish90 Noteless devs were able to workaround the Android permissions issue.

+1 I'd like to sync this with my NUC which runs retroarch on my TV. Setting an external folder for saves would be awesome.
Yea I tried the app and loved it, but because I can't transfer over saves it's pretty much a non starter for me.
Allowing alternate save locations or moving the existing save location out of the Android
directory Somewhere that can be accessed in basically a must in a post android 11 world.
+1 I'm having the same problem as described here: https://github.com/Swordfish90/Lemuroid/issues/296#issuecomment-907880383 Having a configurable save folder + Syncthing would indeed help my use case as well.
+1 My chromecast with google TV is giving me an error when trying to cloud sync to Google Drive so syncthing would be my only alternative. But that requieres lemuroid to be able to read/write saves and states from another folder!
