Open tyler-dane opened this issue 4 months ago • 2 comments

Where did this happen?

Hosted (app.compasscalendar.com)

Expected Behavior

After splitting a recurrence series in Gcal, the events in Gcal should look similar to those in Compass.

Current Behavior

After splitting a recurrence series in Gcal, the instance that was changed is overflowing the calendar grid in Compass.

Look at the No water event

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create recurring daily event in Gcal
  2. Change on instance in Gcal
  3. Select This and following when prompted
  4. Look at Compass
  5. Expected: the instance and following are updated with correct proportions
  6. Actual: The instance that was changed is overflowing
  7. Refresh
  8. Same -- event doesn't change
  9. Click the overflowing event. Notice how the Ends On date seems correct.
  10. Look at the DB for this event and see the below. Notice how the startDate of the original uses TZ offset while the new recurrence uses UTCImage

Deprioritized. If this is DST related, we don't need to fix it until next year
