Is there a full open source distribution of the old DR-DOS this kernel is based on? I am just curious <3

Sadly not. I tried to cantact Brian Sparks, probably the current license owner, about the licensing situation. I got no respone however. Others also tried, but failed to reach him too in the last two years. I think he probably simply does not care about his software anymore. That would be a bad way of dealing with the legacy of DR DOS.

In 2018 he tired to sell all rights on DR DOS for $25,000. At least this is what was on the website then. No one could tell us if this was successful, or he still owns the rights.

Especially the source code of the task switcher, EMM etc. would be great to have...
