CR Image Grid Panel background color

The background color of the CR Image Grid Panel node is always black if the grid is not fully occupied: ImageGrid Would be nice to be able to select that color. Also, "border_color_hex" seems not to do anything, was this value supposed to be the background color?

I just saw, border_color_hex is for border_color = custom
