Hiding the Secret_Key

In the code in the file settings.py it says SECURITY WARNING: keep the secret key used in production secret!

Question

Should we hide it? If not then disregard for below.

Recommendation

Hide the key in a file that goes in the .gitignore to keep our key secret.
