Installation issue

Trying to set up vrdio fails for me as follows:

$ ./vrdio-launch.sh
Failed to load vulkan: Cannot load library vulkan: (vulkan: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
initInstance: No Vulkan library available
Failed to create platform Vulkan instance
An error occurred

I installed deps with sudo apt install libvulkan1 libsdl2-2.0-0 libopengl-dev on Kubuntu 24.04. I would wager I have the pulseaudio deps and since KDE is based on QT, probably also QT deps (but idk).

Any ideas what to try or what other packages to check for?

Do other Vulkan apps work for you? i.e. Proton games, or vkcube.

Yup. I'm successfully playing games via Steam (apt not Flatpak-based) both in VR and outside of it. vkcube also worked fine.

libvulkan1 - 1.3.275.0-1build1 libsdl2-2.0-0 - 2.30.0+dfsg-1ubuntu3.1 libopengl-dev - 1.7.0-1build1

Hmm, I'm not sure then. To be honest, I'm not even able to open the SteamVR dashboard on the latest release 😅. But I'm guessing you're using the release zip? Maybe try building it yourself. The instructions are in the readme.
