Playing Notes with the Keyboard in Instruments and Waves Tab

Is there any opposition to implementing the ability to play notes with the keyboard when in the instruments or waves tab like in OpenMPT?

The instruments tab does have buttons to test various octaves, but not different notes within each octave. And the waves tab doesn't even let you play multiple different octaves when drawing the waveform.
