Cannot download modpack

When downloading modpack, i get a .zip file that doesn't contain any mods or anything, making it impossible to use.

The .zip you downloaded is meant from launchers that accept imports, you can't run modpacks on the vanilla launcher using this .zip. To download the pack you can use the curseforge app or multimc. Both support importing from a .zip
