Memory consumption grows to max and never goes down

It looks that the memory usage never goes down - no matter the amount of logs pushed to SumoLogic. Is that a architecture/design issue ?

Version: 2.4.2 Pod resources: RAM limit 512Mb

Attached some screenshots with trends. Any ideas how to make it not hog all RAM ?

Here I had to re-deploy the pod.

Here NewRelic always reports an alert because RAM consumption gets to 98% and never goes down.

Any idea how to sort this out ?

My memory usage is in GBs with same situation.
