Unutilized space in full screen mode on Samsung tablets
As can be seen in the screenshot below, the bottom portion of the screen is not being utilized.
This is not a problem I have on other devices, so it does seem to be device-specific. Not sure if it has anything to do with Samsung devices not having on-screen navigation buttons.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (SM-T713) Android version: 6.0.1 Build number: MMB29M.T713XXU1APG1
I'm on the latest version (2.7.7) by the way. It is also noteworthy that the device has a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Strange, haven't seen that before. A few ideas to check:
- Does the problem persist in both landscape and portrait mode?
- Does it only happen in fullscreen mode or when the status bar / toolbar are visible as well?
- Maybe try both "single page" view mode as well as continuous scrolling mode.

Yes, in landscape mode too.

It only happens in full screen mode.

Both 'single page' view and continuous scrolling are affected under full screen.
Additionally, if you open the book directly into full screen mode (instead of switching to full screen after opening the book), it is the top potion that is not being utilized, and the affected (grey) area is not as large. Please refer to the screenshots below.
Full screen, portrait mode, vertical scroll
Full screen, landscape mode, vertical scroll
Update: The same problem can be observed on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (SM-605) running Android 5.1.1. Unlike Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, this device has an aspect ratio of 16:10. So far, it seems like this problem is peculiar to Samsung tablets. Testing on Samsung phones could be helpful to narrow down the range of affect devices. Will probably test on some display units in my local stores when I have time.
I confirm this issue with my Galaxy Tab S2 8". I don't see the problem at the bottom of the screen, but I do have the issue with the top. I ruled out the problem being related to my hidden notification bar in Nova.
