Automated import/export

Would it be possible to periodically synchronize a calendar with an .ics file in a given location? I would find this very helpful in order to synchronize calendars between devices via dropbox/syncthing/btsync (without the need of google or a central server).

+1 from me I'd love to see this feature. It would enable me to use syncthing to sync my calendar to all my devices

Oh my gosh, p2p cal-sync was the end goal, 11 months ago, when I first installed Syncthing. This appears to be the most/only viable solution to make it all work.

Alternatively (but less perfect), configurable, separate import and export widgets/shortcuts could also serve to, at least, semi-automate the p2p sync.

You can use ICSDroid for it, see https://forums.bitfire.at/topic/771/feature-request-sync-local-ics-files-e-g-them-synced-via-dropbox-teamdrive-etc/9 But don't expect bi-directional sync.

Dominic, thank you very much for the suggestion. I agree - ICSDroid is the closest 'working' solution, but I really do need round-trip airfare. I do my work-related tasks & scheduling on a tablet and appointments usually end up on the phone. I'm sure there are many people who have gone down the same path - trying (and failing) to get Syncthing handling calendars - and landing here... seeing the solution... so close! Just this one feature would make both apps greater than the sum of their parts, so to speak.

I won't give up on this one. It's the best prospect I've seen, so far.

Again, thank you very much for the suggestion.
