Is there a way to define the custom marker graphic just once?

It seems like a waste of html/download if it has to be defined every time for a map with many markers when its the same marker each time. Is this possible?

good point! There isn't but it's a good idea to implement :)

Thank you @SubZane ... anything that can reduce the amount of repeated html for a map that has lots of markers would be a great way to improve the code I think ;)
