Icon Dicio
I think Dicio's icon is way too simplistic (no offense to whoever made it), Dicio is a voice assistant, so its icon should inspire usability.
I tried to make an icon that would better fit the project, I started with the idea that when people see the icon, they should know right away that it's a voice assistant, or at least that it has something to do with voice.
Please tell me what you think about it and if it fits, you can use it as you want.
the circle that surrounds the microphone, for me is thick. but I got the idea.

I had another idea for an icon
Thank you for taking some time to improve Dicio's look! I am not sure if I like those icons. In my opinion they are too colorful and they miss specific references to "Dicio". I prepared a few alternatives but I am not sure I like those, too:

I don't know much about designing icons, but here are some basic ideas I had:
However, I feel these are way too busy for an app icon, specially since other popular voice assistants' icons are basically just circles:
For future reference for anyone who tries to contribute, @Stypox where did you get the "D" in the icon from? Is it a font?
@Elaborendum thank you for creating those icons! I agree they are a little bit too busy, but I think the bottom-right one actually looks fine.

I built it manually using Krita, I uploaded it in the repository a couple of days ago: https://github.com/Stypox/dicio-android/blob/master/meta/logo.kra
I just tried another one to try
Well, it's more a concept than a finished icon
@MXC48, modify your previous response if you want to add anything after you post it to avoid spam.
@MXC48, the contrast within "https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/82712837/166714129-e4aa6179-7a7e-4226-b207-b8b649d58634.svg" is too minor to be able to ascertain what symbolism is within the yellow bubbles, and does not fit within the circular, or more uncommonly, square crop that the Google Play Store and most launchers necessitate. However, with some reorganisation, I believe that I would like it. Additionally, I am glad that it is vectoral.

Sorry, I'll do it right away
I like this as a proof of concept, since the logo is still there and the bubbles make me think "this app can do many things", which is great. However, the additional icons should not clutter the image and not make the D too small.
Here I improved the colors a little ;-)

Yes with your color it's already much better, I didn't have the colors on hand but I think it's an idea to look into further 😁
I'm in favor of this or similar variation of microphone within D
What do you think of this? Which one is better? I uploaded the files I used to generate them to the meta/
folder

I personally prefer the Drop shadow icon.
I don't mind the Cast Shadow one, but I think the area in the microphone icon cutout is too dark. If you combined the two that way (cast shadow outside, drop shadow inside), it might look better.
Imo the one with the shadow doesn't match the modern android icons and looks dated. This used to be nice in the past.
Let it be "Drop shadow" then. Thanks for sharing your opinion and thanks to everyone involved in this discussion! See 42e3c9fcd2064a8efe2858dec9c4794ff5bb619f
