Yeah it's not trivial. I don't use Safari, but I've heard that for newest version you can only develop extensions in Swift. So its totally incompatible with other extension platforms

It works for me w.r.t. triggering the shortcut, but it also pastes in the special character as well =\

Hmm, to my surprise - re-installing the extension seems to have fixed the issue 🤔. And no M1 - x86

another solution here is using shadow-dom, which allows you to isolate the styles/etc you use for your extension in a separate namespace & does not impose additional complexity on communicating...
