Removable magnets/stress relief
First I want to say how much I appreciate you making this workbench in freecad!
I first found out about this through your freecad files that were uploaded to printables Because they were based on sketches, I was able to modify the magnet hole sketch to add these reliefs which served 2 purposes.
- To allow the user to remove the magnets using a pick to grab under the magnets
- To allow the part to have a little "give" when placing magnets
Could you add this as a parameter in the workbench. I can see there are a lot of nice feature that I would love to implement into my Gridfinity setup.
Good idea, there are a couple of big updates I want to implement first, but I will add this to my list for future updates.
Would you be able to share dimensions for the notch that have worked well for you in the past?
Absolutely, I've made the radius of the notch 2mm and the length from the magnet to the semicircle 2mm
