trouble picking up controller

sup! idk if this counts as a bug or a technical issue on my part but delfinovin inst picking up my inputs whatsoever. i cant calibrate anything for some reason. my adapter is a pdobq gamecube adapter. is there anything i'm doing wrong?

i've tried switching it to pc mode and console mode but nothing is working/
