Stremio Version Android tv (chrome cast with google tv)

Being able to use voice control/google home to play a specific movie/tv show would be very useful, for example, on Netflix you can say "Hey google (or hold the button on the remote) play Spiderman, across the spider verse on stremio.

Additional context Some people have said you can add it as a searchable app, however this is no longer an option (to my knowledge) I don't know if this is something you are able to imement or if it's a google thing, if not sorry for the waste of time :)

But how are you going to be specific about wich stream to use ?

It could use the first available one using your default sort, or present the stream selection page if not. In a next phase maybe it's doable to say the language as well.

Would be a nice improvement!

This would also be a good option to have as default for choosing an episode/movie to watch (I don't think this is a thing, correct me if I'm wrong)

It also just opening the source selector page would be enough though, to keep it simple.

There is this app "ATV Smart YouTube TV Bridge" which handles all YouTube links in the Google TV system, so you can replace the default YouTube app with SmartTube and use voice search. There is also a version for Fire TV. Those devices don't need root. For all other devices root is needed.

Maybe it would be possible to create bridge apps for Amazon Prime, Netflix, ... to redirect to Stremio?

that sounds like a hack, we do not use hacks, they could get you removed from play store (and other app stores).. unless there is an official way to do it, we won't do it, we are dedicated to the app store rules

You would need to use a seperate app for this anyway.

Well, I hope there will be an official way to integrate stremio into the ecosystem
