Reviving this 2 year old request with further interest. It would be really nice if Stremio shipped with Cinemeta as the default metadata and catalog provider as it already does, with an option to allow users to select which metadata providing addon Stremio pulls from first.

I've run into several situations where Cinemeta's metadata is incomplete or slow to update, whereas TMDB will often have more complete metadata and in a more timely manner.
