Request: allow to resize window to smaller sizes
Currently the minimal size is quite large....
Any fix to this yet?
Also looking for a way to do this!
This will not be implemented in the existing shell, as current interface does not support smaller UI
@TRtomasz Why not? Plenty of players (VLC, MPC) support being smaller... Not even when playing, where there is almost no UI ?
@AndroidDeveloperLB there are a lot of UI elements starting from the player options UI, context menu UI, subtitles rendering. Everything would have to be once again designed and adjusted to work with smaller screen size. Not to mention basically every screen in the app to make it responsive.
@TRtomasz Shouldn't apps be designed to be responsive in general? For a start, on screens that it's a lot of work, can't the content be scrollable? The minimal size of Stremio is quite large... Larger than any other app that I've ever seen...
Sure, they should Stremio 5 is responsive, but Stremio 4 is now 7 years old and this will not be changed now
@TRtomasz Stremio 5 ? It's in the works? Is there a beta for it?
@AndroidDeveloperLB web.stremio.com
@TRtomasz Interesting idea. At first it didn't seem to work. No idea what made it work. I logged in, installed the "Stremio Service" too. I reached an error that says I can enable external player in the settings, but it's actually disabled and I can't enable it. I restarted the web browser, and it allowed me to play on VLC, but it doesn't play there. It does play after some time on the web browser itself, yet without indication that it's loading. Also, as it's on a web browser, I expected that I will be able to freely select text, but it has this annoying limitation that I can't... I think "download this video" doesn't work and I can't find a way to copy the video as magnet link. I also wonder if it's more stable in terms of crashes. Recently Stremio had some annoying crashes for me.
So, it's replacing one annoyance with others, sadly...
