To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: For example, in a movie, when a character speaks with background music, the subtitles have lyrics and character lines at the same time, but they will not be displayed at the same time, only one line will be displayed.

Please give me an example of exact video and subtitles so i can try to reproduce. But i'm pretty sure that there are no subtitles for the music in the background at all.

For the animation "Sagrada reset" S01E01, the subtitle is the following file, which is the same as that on opensubtitles. sagrada.reset.s01.e01.memory.in.children.13.(2017).chi.1cd.(9014081).zip

Hi, I have the same issue on Android tv but I found today that it is only on Exoplayer : both subtitle lines appear fine with libVLC. In case this helps.

Hello I have the exact same problem here in my Google TV. Switching to libVLC player fix the problem, but I wanna help solving this in the standard player, where should I look and how do I submit a pull request for you?
