hi soo i also noticed this i have diff model and webos 5 version and it still occurs it was working great before maybe some update messed it up
i presume you are both using torrents? i don't think there's any memory leak, i think the torrent stream takes too long to buffer / load and the Stremio video times out which causes it to try using the LG video player instead

I use always use Real Debrid streams and on a 1gbit connection - the streams load within 5 seconds, so I doubt it is a timeout issue. Does not explain why Stremio app crashes with a ‘the app will now restart to free up memory’ error
Still happening on the latest version that was supposed to fix it (1.7.1)

try playing smaller files

Don't think 5gb is large
Why was the bug removed? It’s still an issue.
I am also having the same problem of opening the LG Media Player
I encountered the same error. In my case, it happened when using addons with Real Debrid. However, after reconfiguring the addons without Real Debrid, the error no longer appeared. Streaming torrents directly works fine and does not trigger the error.
I think streaming with Real Debrid may be causing a memory leak — could someone take a look at this? I would really appreciate it, since I would like to use Real Debrid if possible.
I also am having this issue - but with Debrid-link. The same content works fine through Torbox, oddly enough. And I think up until the last app update or maybe the one before that, Debrid-Link worked. And sometimes Debrid-Link works the first time you play something, but the second time it will crash consistently. I have a B4 with webOS 24.
I may have just figured out something helpful - I went into debrid-link and changed my CDN from Cloudflare to one of the other options. And now it appears I can play content again without the memory error. And it appears RealDebrid also can use CloudFlare as I have that CDN option in an inactive account I have with them. That would explain why the two different services have the same symptom.
Happens to me as well in my LG TV :( Using torrentio, no real-debrid
I'm also experiencing this isse on my LG TV. It's getting worse now that it doesn't play anything at all from RD. It opens the media player with an error saying "Your device is disconnected. Please check the connection status."
Same problem on the LG C5 with the latest firmware. I have seen both problems. Honestly, I would prefer if it could simply always open up the default player, as it's actually better and doesn't crash with the "Ouf of Memory" problem.
I have seen the problem on only one specific series, so I'll have to test why it crashes on this one specifically (file size? Other?).
