Tooltextures are quite useful in determining how a blending texture will look prior to applying it, however many materials do not include such textures, and there does not appear to be any tool or way to easily generate these and append them to the materials. Therefore, it would be nice to have Hammer generate and show a preview texture when one does not already exist.

As an additional feature it could preview the effect of modulation textures by changing how the preview does the transition, most textures are a straight binary line and this could be an upgrade.
